I've had awful luck with humidifiers, I've bought the cheap ones (don't do that), I've bought the expensive ones (don't do that either), I bought the hot ones (that turned out nasty). To be honest when www.influenster.com emailed me about this #voxbox I was excited, I mean who isn't excited about free products that simply want you to review them honestly? But, I was also pretty skeptical. I did not belong to the 'I Love Humidifiers' club by any stretch of the imagination.
Then it showed up at the door...and the lil lady immediately assumed it was a gift for her. Because, of course, everything is hers at this point in time.
I think that #influenster secretly knew that we would need it because lil lady had a nasty cold and when I called her pediatrician the first thing he said was, "Do you have a cool mist humidifier?" I excitedly said, "Heck yes I do! It just showed up today!" I realize this is very boring for so many people but when you're a stay at home mama, scoring free stuff or getting an awesome deal is like making a bonus at work. It's a BIG deal folks!
That night we cracked that baby open and set up shop on my husbands night stand. Yes, we're one of those weird co-sleeping families. I was sure to set a towel under it because you know they always leave everything soggy and wet right? This one didn't! It ran all night, soooooo quietly I might add, and when we woke up in the morning everything wasn't soaked but it had really done its job. We were all impressed.
It has now been used in every room in our home and we went and purchased an extra for the boys room. My mind has been changed, I'm now a believer in humidifiers and if you're in the market for one, the Vicks Mini Filter Free Cool Mist Humidifier (or any of the Vicks line!) is the way to go!
